Nick DiChario’s short stories have appeared in many magazines and anthologies including The Year’s Best Science Fiction, The Year’s Best Fantasy and Horror, and The Best Alternate History Stories of the 20th Century. He has been nominated for two Hugo Awards and a World Fantasy Award. His first two novels were published by Robert J. Sawyer Books: A Small and Remarkable Life (2006) and Valleyof Day-Glo (2008), and both books were nominated for the prestigious John W. Campbell Memorial Award.

In addition to writing stories, Nick is the fiction editor of HazMat Literary Review, a magazine dedicated to printing new voices and politically aware poetry and prose, and some of his plays have been presented in Geva Theatre’s Regional Playwrights Festival in upstate New York. He is also a frequent contributor to Philosophy Now magazine.

Since 1992, Nick has taught creative writing workshops for people of all ages and backgrounds through Writers & Books, one of the largest non-profit literary centers in the United States. He has also been a writing professor at St. John Fisher College and the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT). He has appeared as a guest lecturer, panelist, speaker, and reader at many schools, seminars, and conventions, including the University of South Florida, the University of Limerick in Ireland, and numerous World Science Fiction Conventions around the world.
